More and more shoppers ask AI assistants like ChatGPT what to buy. AI Visibility shows you what those assistants answer when shoppers ask questions in your category: whether your brand and products are mentioned, where they rank, which competitors show up instead, and which sources the AI relied on.
AI Visibility is an add-on module to Social Commerce. It works on its own, and pairs well with Product Knowledge.

Key concepts
- Topic: A theme you want to track, for example "Hydrating makeup-removing face washes". Each topic has its own prompts, schedule and results.
- Prompt: A question a shopper might ask an AI assistant, for example "Can you suggest a face wash that removes makeup without drying my skin?". A topic usually has around 5 active prompts.
- Run: One prompt sent to one AI engine. A topic with 5 active prompts tracked on 3 engines uses 15 runs each time it runs.
- Result: The answer an AI engine gave to one prompt, and how your brand and competitors appear in it.
Set up your first topic
- In the BamHub, open AI Visibility in the left menu. You can also find it under Products.
- Click + New Topic.
- Describe what you want to track in one sentence, for example "How visible are we when people ask AI about gentle cleansers for dry skin?". You can also start from one of the suggested topics. Suggestions are based on your brand, your catalog and the time of year, and a fresh set arrives each day.
- Click Draft with AI. A topic name and prompt instructions are drafted for you. Everything stays editable.
- Open the Prompts tab and review the prompts. Tick the box ① to turn a prompt on or off, or click the pencil icon ② to edit it. Click Activate all ③ to turn on every prompt, or Generate prompts ④ to get more suggestions.
- On the Overview tab, click Edit in the Topic setup card to choose how often the topic runs, which day and time, and which AI engines to track. Language and market are inherited from your brand settings and can be changed under Advanced settings. Click Done to save.
- Click Run now if you want results right away instead of waiting for the first scheduled run.

Tips for good prompts: Write prompts the way a shopper would ask, not the way you describe your product internally. Mix broad questions ("best moisturizer for sensitive skin") with more specific ones ("fragrance-free moisturizer for winter"). Keep one theme per topic so the results are easy to compare.
Understand the overview
The AI Visibility start page, shown at the top of this article, summarizes all your topics in four parts.
① Overview: Three metrics across all your topics. Use 7d, 14d, 30d or All to change the time period.

- Visibility (higher is better): The share of evaluated results where your brand is mentioned or one of your catalog products appears.
- Avg. position when ranked (lower is better): Your brand's average best position in the answers where it was ranked. Position 1 is the top recommendation. Answers where you are not ranked are left out of this number.
- Share of voice (higher is better): Your brand and product mentions as a share of all brand and product recommendations in your tracked results, including competitors. It compares you to the brands that show up for your prompts, not to the whole market.
② Topics and Products: The Topics tab lists every topic with its status, visibility and the AI engines it tracks. The Products tab shows which of your products have appeared in AI answers.
③ Runs until renewal: How many runs you have used, scheduled and have left this period.
④ Suggested topics: New topic ideas each day. The same suggestions appear when you click + New Topic, so you can start a topic from one of them.
Dig into a topic
Click a topic to open it. Each topic has four tabs:
- Overview: The same three metrics for this topic only, the products that surfaced in answers (with mentions, average position and when they were last seen), run usage and the topic setup.
- Prompts: All prompts in the topic, which ones are active, and when each last produced a result.
- Results: Every run, grouped by date. Each row shows a prompt, the AI engine and your position, or "Not mentioned". Click a row to see the full AI answer, the products and brands ranked in it, the pages the AI cited, the web searches it ran and the sources it examined.
- Competitors: The brands that show up in answers for this topic, with Answers (how many answers they appear in), Mentions, Avg. best rank and Share of voice.

How to act on the results: Look at which competitors rank above you and open their results to see what the AI says about them. Check the cited pages and sources examined: these show which sites AI engines trust in your category, such as retailers, review sites and editorial lists. Then compare with what your own product pages say. Product Knowledge can help you find details from your videos that are missing from your product pages.
See results per product
Open any product under Products and select the AI Visibility tab to see the AI answers where that product appeared. If it has not appeared yet, the tab says so and fills in as soon as it does.
Manage your runs
- Every topic shows how many runs it uses per run and per month, so you can plan before you activate more prompts or engines.
- Only successful runs count toward your allowance.
- To save runs, turn off prompts you no longer need, track fewer engines, run less often, or pause a topic by switching its status off in Topic setup.
Supported AI engines
- ChatGPT
- Claude
- Google AI Overviews
Permissions
Users need the Manage AI Visibility permission. Owners in Live have it by default.
Frequently asked questions
Why do my results change from one run to the next?
AI answers are not fixed. The same question can get a different answer on a different day or engine. Look at trends over several weeks rather than a single run.
My visibility is 0%. What does that mean?
None of the evaluated answers mentioned your brand or matched your products in the selected period. This is common at the start. Check the Competitors and Results tabs to see who is recommended instead and which sources the AI used.
Does AI Visibility change what AI engines say about my brand?
No. It measures and explains where you stand. Improving your visibility comes from the content you publish, for example richer product pages.
Does AI Visibility tell me what to change on my product pages?
It shows where you stand, who ranks instead and which sources the AI trusts. To find specific details to add to your product pages, use Product Knowledge.
Can I use AI Visibility without Product Knowledge?
Yes, it can be used on its own.
