Overview
AI Product Tagging makes your Shoppable Videos shoppable automatically. The AI scans each video, recognizes the products in it and matches them to your product catalog. You then get suggestions for which products to tag.
You no longer need to open every video and add products by hand, so you can get videos live much faster.
The feature is included at no extra cost for all Shoppable Video clients.
Before you start
You only need one thing: your product feed (product catalog) must be connected in BamHub. The AI uses this feed to match the products it finds in your videos.
How to check and connect your feed: In BamHub, go to Settings > Integrations > Product Feed. If no feed is added, add yours there. This only takes a couple of minutes. Check that your products look right, and AI Product Tagging will start working in your video library.
How to use it
The AI tags every new video automatically. You always review the suggestions before anything is added, so you keep full creative control.
Which videos get tagged: Every new video in your Library, whether you:
- upload it directly
- import an ended live show
- import a video from the UGC section
Review and add the suggested products
- Go to Library. Videos with suggestions show a new label, for example 3 products to review.
- Click the label. You'll see the list of products found by AI.
- Check each suggestion against the video. To see where a product appears, click its timestamp to jump to that moment in the video.
- Choose what to add:
- Add all to accept every suggestion
- Add product by product
- Skip to ignore a product that isn't in the video
- (Optional) Click the + sign to add a product by hand, for example a new drop that isn't in your product feed yet.
- Click Save. The products are now on your video and it's shoppable.
Usage limits
AI Product Tagging is free and includes up to 30 videos per day. Most clients never reach this limit. If you do, tagging resumes the next day. You can still add products by hand at any time.
FAQ
Do I need to turn the feature on? No. It switches on automatically, but you need a connected product feed first.
I don't see any suggestions on my videos. Check that your product feed is added. Go to Settings > Integrations > Product Feed in BamHub. Without a product feed, the AI has nothing to match your videos against.
Will the AI add products to my videos without asking? No. The AI only suggests products. Nothing is added until you click Add and Save.
What if a product in the video isn't in my product feed? The AI can only match products in your feed. Use the + sign to add that product by hand.
