Bambuser's Landscape Mode brings 16:9 cinematic-style viewing to Live video shopping. This feature enhances the shopping experience by enabling interactive eCommerce events to be viewed across users’ full screens. Supporting a 16:9 aspect ratio, the horizontal viewing mode provides a more immersive and cinematic experience on mobile or desktop devices.
- Options to use Landscape Mode (16:9):
- Use a pre-recorded video filmed in 16:9 and upload it in Dashboard using the pre-recorded feature.
- Utilize external cameras and film in landscape mode.
- No configuration is needed. Once the video output is in landscape format, the player will automatically switch the layout.
Note: The Bambuser LiveShopping app does not yet support filming in landscape mode.
Requirements
When using external cameras or pre-recorded videos, outputs must meet the following to fit the Bambuser player in Landscape Mode:
- 16:9 format
- Maximum 30fps
- Resolution of 1280x720
- Maximum bitrate of 3,000 kbps
How Does It Work in Action?
- On mobile: In vertical "Shopper Mode," the video displays properly without cropping, with full Bambuser functionality. For a more immersive experience, flip the phone horizontally to "Viewer Mode," where the video fills most of the screen. Note that Viewer Mode limits some functionality, but a "rotate" nudge indicates you can flip back to interact fully.
- On desktop: The view fully accommodates the 16:9 format while retaining all functionality.
