Broadcast Pre-recorded video

Here's how to go live and/or upload pre-recorded video and make it shoppable with Bambuser

Make your pre-recorded videos shoppable

Bambuser not only offers the ability to stream straight from your mobile device, but also allows you to broadcast pre-recorded videos. You can also upload any video to the Bambuser platform to make it shoppable and embed it on your website.

Going live with pre-recorded video gives you the flexibility to diversify your content while maintaining a live audience. It takes the pressure away from the host and allows you to focus solely on moderating your show.

With Bambuser's pre-recorded feature you can choose to publish the show as either Live Stream Video or Publish Video On-Demand.

Did You Know?

You are of course able to only upload video to Bambuser's platform to make it shoppable and add it anywhere on your site - without going live. Follow the steps below to publish videos on-demand.

Live Stream Video

Publish video on-demand

Your video will be streamed live at the scheduled time. You can highlight products as usual and Viewers can watch and chat in real-time as it plays. The video will be available for on-demand viewing afterward. Your video will be available for on-demand viewing after the processing is finished. You will not have the ability to highlight products and the viewers can not chat. Nonetheless, viewers can watch the entire video at any time without scheduling or watching a live broadcast.

Requirements for a successful pre-recorded video

These are the specs needed for a pre-recorded video to upload and stream properly in our Bambuser player:

Portrait-mode

  • In a 9:16 format
  • A maximum of 30fps
  • A maximum resolution of 1080x1920
  • The maximum bitrate of 3,000 kbps
  • Video upload must be in MP4-format
  • The maximum number of audio channels is 2

Landscape-mode

  • In a 16:9 format
  • A maximum of 30fps
  • A maximum resolution of 1920x1080
  • The maximum bitrate of 3,000 kbps
  • Video upload must be in MP4-format
  • The maximum number of audio channels is 2

Important notes before you start the uploading process:

  • The larger the file you’re trying to upload is, the longer the upload will take. Internet connection is required during the entire upload process, if you are disconnected while uploading, it will stop and you will need to refresh the page and start over again.
  • The system will reject the upload if the video duration exceeds 6 hours.
  • Once a pre-recorded video has started, neither you or Bambuser can pause or end the broadcast
  • The broadcast will end once the whole video has been played once
  • The livestream will automatically start once a video file has been uploaded and based on the show date and the assigned time. You can also start the video manually from the moderator view.
  • You must, at all times, run a test show with the exact same video file before scheduling a production show. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are uploading the correct video file format and that it runs smoothly on a test show before going live
  • If the show’s scheduled time passes while the uploaded video is processing, the show will go live automatically when processing finishes.
